🎤 tap tap is this thing on? No of course not, it’s just an emoji.
But something that has ACTUALLY been switched on is Games Made in Sweden, a passion project I started in February 2023 in the form of a Steam Curator. My initial goal was to build and maintain the most up-to-date collection of games developed & co-developed in Sweden.
Why? TL;DR I so happen to be a fan of many games that has been developed here in Sweden.
The longer answer? The level of quality and creativity that comes out of Sweden’s games industry has always fascinated me. For being a relatively small country, we sure do have a mighty games industry, with viral successes coming from both smaller and larger teams such as this years R.E.P.O & PEAK, or last years Helldivers 2 - all of which have been dominating the conversation. But also hidden gems with creativity at the forefront like The Midnight Walk, proving that games are not just games, it’s an art form.
Besides the games themselves, if you have been a part of the swedish games industry you will know that it does feel like a community, so I’m expanding Games Made in Sweden to make it easy for you to stay up-to-date with the latest news, coming in hotter than the first cup of coffee in the morning, in the form of a monthly newsletter and this blog.
It would be an honor to have you along for this journey, and if enough of you decide to give me your time of day I might even be able to get a ✨ custom domain ✨ one day (you need to aim for the stars, right?)
